Is your voter registration up-to-date?
Voter registration can easily expire, especially if you have moved within the last five years. Check your voter registration status at www.summitcountyboe.com/WebApps/vtrlookup.aspx. The link will take you to the Summit County Board of Elections Voter Search page. Once there, enter your first and last name; and click on the "Submit" button.

  • If you are registered to vote, your information will appear underneath the "Submit" button.
  • If your information does not appear underneath the "Submit" button, you may obtain information on how to register at www.summitcountyboe.com/Register.aspx. You may also call 330.643.5200 or follow the directions below.

How to register:

  • You must be:
    • a citizen of the U.S.;
    • 18 years or older before Election Day; and
    • a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days before Election Day.
  • Fill out a registration form:
    • at the Summit County Board of Elections;
    • at public libraries;
    • at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles;
    • at any Akron public school; or
    • at home.
  • Complete the form, and return it to your neighborhood school or to the Summit County Board of Elections, 470 Grant St., Akron, Ohio 44311.
  • Register by Tuesday, October 11, to vote in the November 8 election.

How to vote early:

  • Order a ballot.
    The order form can be picked up from any Akron public school or downloaded at www.summitcountyboe.com.
  • Complete the ballot.
  • Return your ballot as soon as possible.
    Mail or deliver the ballot to the Summit County Board of Elections (470 Grant St., Akron, Ohio 44311) beginning Tuesday, October 18, 2011, or in person beginning Saturday, October 22, 2011.
