Akron's economy cannot work without good schools.
- Children are the future of our city.
- Having a well-educated workforce is important to attracting and keeping businesses and jobs in Akron.
- Issue 6 funds teachers, textbooks, tutors and technology to teach job skills.
- Without Issue 6, Akron cannot prepare an educated workforce.
We promised, we delivered. The district met or exceeded the 2001 contract goals by 2004, and we are still honoring those goals today.

- Did not seek new levy until every component of Contract was met
Akron schools have cut over $40 million from the budget.
- If Issue 6 fails, it will be necessary to cut $40 million more.

- No up-to-date textbooks or technology students need to prepare for jobs
- Art, music and sports, and academic programs will be cut.
- If Issue 6 loses, every school loses; and Akron loses.
State money could not help Akron for several years.
